Issuing a project registration certificate granting the investor the exemptions, privileges and guarantees stipulated in Investment Law No. 15 of 2010 AD and the privileges granted to projects registered with the Authority by other government agencies.

Who can apply for the service?

Any entity that wishes to obtain the privileges and incentives provided by the General Authority for Investment, provided that it is among the projects included in the Investment Law.

Steps and Procedures

Fill out the form and submit the application, attaching all documents and reviewing them.

Pay the study application fee and refer the file to the projects sector

Technical study of the request and referral of a copy to the facilitation sector

Opinion poll and field visit

Receiving approvals from the authorities and preparing the file

Payment of administrative service fees and attachment of the bond

Issuance of the back copy of the registration certificate (draft) signed by the project sector specialists

Submit a copy of the certificate to the investor and a copy to the customs office.

Required Documents

A copy of the Yemeni investor’s ID, family card or passport.
Copy of the foreign investor's passport
A copy of the land ownership document certified by the real estate registry or a ten-year lease contract certified by the police department or the neighborhood elder.
- A power of attorney for the authorized person (according to the form approved by the Authority) certified by the Commercial Court, with the personal ID card to be brought.
A copy of the environmental impact study for projects that require it.
In the case of companies, a copy of the company’s articles of association and bylaws certified by the competent authorities.
A copy of the valid commercial register, if any (in the case of existing companies)

Necessary conditions and specifications

It must be clarified and noted if the investor/or one of the partners is previously licensed by the Authority when filling out the partners’ data.
The project must not be located on one of the Yemeni islands and the investor must not be a foreigner.
The scope of the project must not be in one of the areas restricted in the Investment Law, Article 4 (weapons - oil sector - practicing import and export activities).
The project activity must not be in the field of forbidden wines and spirits.
Providing a legal form for the investor, whether he is a person or a legal entity.
The project location must not be in areas designated for housing or agriculture.
Private land must be registered in the real estate registry.
The investment costs of the project should not be less than one hundred million Yemeni riyals.
The percentage of Yemeni workers is not less than 90% and the number of workers is not less than ten.
The feasibility study applies industrial equations (proportionality of project components to production capacity).
